History of the Miller Brothers Packing Company

Mr. Otis Miller was born on April 02, 1920 in Murphy, GA to the late William Lacy and Minnie Eula Moore Miller. Mr. Miller began his career in the meat processing business in 1936 while working for his brother, Cecil Miller in Murphy. He interrupted his meat processing career to serve during World War II in the United States Army from 1938 to 1946. Mr. Miller along with his brother, Ivey began the Miller Brothers Sausage Company in Arlington, GA in 1946. They moved the business and their families to Sylvester when they purchased the Worth Packing Company from Mr. R.E. Bell. He retired from Miller Brothers Packing Company on August 01, 2006.
